Anyone with iBurst in this area ? Theuns van Niekerk street just west of Ruimteweg. According to the coverage map, there should be no coverage. Have a friend over there who needs to be connected

According to the maps, my parents (Du Toit Street) should get no signal as well. Tested it in their house about 2 weeks ago, got 2-3 lights, and the speed was quite decent.

I assume the little bit of signal comes from the Laudium tower (as that was the aerial direction where I got signal).

Just West of Ruimteweg you should get quite a decent signal. Worth it to check it out.

Look at the banner ads on mybroadband - Jeff Morris ... he will go out and test the signal

Thanks Landy, no need to go look at banner ads, Jeff's number is on my cell. Guess who did mine ? ;)

The coverage maps are never correct. They told us we would get only 400kb/s, we almost get 900kb/s. You should call the Tech or Sales line to find out if you're covered.

I agree with you on the coverage map. I'm zoned for extreme outdoors, but also get 800+ easily. I disagree on the "should call Tech or Sales". I'd rather call a trusted reseller, before I call Iburst for *anything*

At the moment from a ISP point of view ?
I don't see anyone moving from Iburst to MyWireless :D
From a customer care point ?
See previous answer, see MyWi forum. They have never been, and will never be, customer-orientated. They should be declared persona non grata in the customer environment :(

So what you're saying is that Sentech don't give a damn about customer satisfaction, only about getting money for a poor service?

Nothing that matches it in speed AND usage. Classic had 3 options, which ALL will be terminated btw :
128K & 10GB (499 or 449 excl modem, not sure)
256K & 20GB (R699 excl modem)
512K & 40Gb

Compare that to their Flexi (now the only option, all running at 256K) range and see what the cheapest 10GB option will cost
