Why is Sentech first rolling out towers in major business distrticts first if their package is not stable or reliable enough so far for any major business appliactions

To catch the uninformed CIO/IT Manager, regrettably appointed on the basis of considerations other than actual competency...

One HAS TO LOVE such true admiration for the hiring capability of management ;-)

Our one connection is used for business purposes and has been
running perfectly and been up at the times we make large data transfers

Also know of at least two other connections used to transfer technical data at a friend business, and no complaints from them

While I kinda believe what you are saying I still cant help thinking that you sound like a Sentech representative. We were all saying this kind of stuff a while back so maybe you are very lucky.

Another factor is weekends. They seem to have major downtimes over weekends and nights. Perhaps since you only use it during business hours you dont experience the full suckiness of not having your always-on connection always on.

The only thing most of us can count on nowadays is about 2 hours a day minimum downtime with unerring consistency.

Ja well - as a former such person myself and having to interact with them daily in my current activities, I'm continually amazed at the vast discrepancies between such individuals, when it comes to actual knowledge and understanding of ICT's, and how they must be aligned and properly used to promote their business imperatives. You have the thick-as-a-brick types who got their degrees in the 50's and haven't learnt a thing since, all the way through to the sharp cookie recently qualified at a business school, who has no understanding of both the strategic and operational impact of ICT's both internally and externally on the organisation. I know I'm jaded, but I really am sick and tired of all the crap...
