Oh wow- I stay in Viola rd Blouberg (although coverage map lists it as tableview) - my street has a thin white strip along it, surrounded by signal, this sucks balls, just my road... really

Well checked the map more carefully half my road is "not covered" half I stay in is covered by "poor signal" any chance of getting decent speeds here. 2 Roads down from me is "strong signal" bleh

The coverage map is conservative. I think you'd get decent speeds with an external antenna. I stay in a "poor coverage" area according to the coverage map (up to 50kbps). I used to get speeds up to 300kbps with no antenna, been getting speeds up to 1Mbps since installing an external omni antenna.

I wouldn't bet on it. I have a good DSTV drifta coverage according to the site, yet in reality I have no coverage and I need an external antenna just to get any signal.

Let me clarify, I found iBurst's coverage map to be conservative. I cannot comment on DSTV's coverage map.
