Hi guys,any ideas where I can buy a cows head? I checked with meatworld but they dont sell it :(
Someone cooked it at some party I went to & it was very tasty. So wanna try cooking it myself *hides*
 
Cows Head? Are you trying to scare a hindu by serving it a whole to him/her on a platter?
 
Yes, I was there when they prepared it.

Ok, to be more specific - the meat on the cows head...not the eyes/brains/tongue etc :)
 
I can give you my ex's address as I unfortunately don't have the tools to take her head myself.

I've heard it's the eyes, brains and tongue that are the tastiest. Ask taxi drivers
 
You can definitely get it somewhere here in Jeppestown as I see them in shopping carts all the time going into the Jeppe Hostel.
 
I've seen farmers in the Karoo cooking springbok heads (the animal, not the rugby players). They wrap them in tin foil and bake them in the oven for a few hours. When they come out of the oven you can peel off the skin like an orange. The smell is something else though. Like somewhere between offal and old shoes.
 
Lol...... I know they sell it somewhere in JHB Central like R20 a head, cause when I use to travel via Central some guys with a trolley full of heads use to scare me everytime I see him think you should try and google Lionels Butchery in JHB Central cause they always moved towards or away from that direction
