To summarise:
If you buy ANY consumer product, you are entitled to return it for a full refund within 6 months. This is ignored by cellular operators, the motor trade and many unscrupulous traders
For property rentals, you can give the landlord 20 days notice to vacate and they have no lien over you
None of the aspects have been tested in court, a great pity as it an excellent piece of legislation
If you do have a faulty item, the supplier is entitled to examine it to determine if it has been abused or damaged

Each province adjudicates its own cases. However, if you live in CT and you bought something from Jhb and paid for it with a CT based bank account, then CT has jurisdiction
