Hi guys.

I have a Mega 105 WR router at home for the adsl. I am having an issue when I try and Login to my cPanel which is at http://webhosting.ehost-services.com/Login.asp?page=%2Fdefault.asp%3F& every time I log in the page either just refreshes or give me an HttpException: Unable to validate data.

I have tested it on all web browsers and the same thing happens. We have tried it with Iburst and its fine. I am experiencing this issue at home, work and at my father's who all ave ADSL and we have switched the firewall off and nothing has changed.

I can access the site through a proxy like MegaProxy but then loose certain functionality.

I don't know if the router blocks certain ports or certain IP addresses.

I realy hope some one on these forums can help.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds more like the server is set to save your IP address in the cookie. Now SAIX uses multiple transparent cache proxies, and of coarse they don't share the same ip address. So while you log in, it looks like your ip changes and thus the server doesn't let you log in.

1. Ask them to disable this (doubt they will)
2. Use an ISP that doesnt make use of transparent caching that has random ips (very few)
3. Use a proxy

Ok but why would it be possible for me to access the website through a proxy web site? I wont mind to continue to use a proxy but the ones I have been trying out I keep loosing funtionality once logged in.

Hope I get some feedback.

Kind Regards

Actually I forgot about the port 2083 one, that should work the best and bypass the transparent proxies. As for why works via a proxy: According to the server your IP then stays static and its security mechanism can keep track of you which is why it works.

Ok that makes sense so how would i setup my IP on my machine to static so I don't have to use the proxy as I said I loose functonality, as with the ports I don't have tat feature have tried it on the website, I get all my domains from a reseller so I access cpanel centrally with my sites below it. So using the port doesn't realy help.

Tested URL from IS DSL account no problems

Everyone I know that doesn't use Telkom as an ISP it works, all those who has Telkom as an ISP and that uses a router its giving problems with, tried to explain to the technical guy this morning but he had no clue what I was talking about.

Its really frustrating.

Hi Francois1985,

Has my answer assisted you? Is there any specific reason why you would want to use their login form to access your cPanel area?

There is no functionality loss from using the method I posted above and there should also be no need to use a proxy using that method.

Hi there Raven I have tried but to no avail it doesn't work. I have to access my sites through the web hosting control panel.

PM me and I will send you my details so you can see for yourself.

Kind Regards
