Senior Second Line Analyst

Salary: Market related dependent on experience [Please PM me for Salary Band]

Location: Cape Town – Northern Suburbs
Employment:Permanent
Working Hours: Working on SA Public holidays as well as performing Out Of Hours support will be a requirement; however it’s within reason and on a rotational basis with other team members.

Job description

The role is to provide BAU support and Project Related Implementations to Tooling systems that deliver contracted and business critical services. The technologies that will be supported include the following; BMC Patrol, BMC ProactiveNet; BMC Performance Manager Portal, BMC Server Automation, BMC ADDM and BMC Event Manager along with a number of additional supporting products.

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • MCSE or equivalent
  • BMC
  • 3 Years in an Infrastructure support (Wintel / Unix) or Application support role
  • Windows Server 2000 – 2012 including Clustering, WMI, Perfmon
  • Virtualisation knowledge – VMWare and Citrix
  • Exchange Server understanding
  • SQL/Oracle understanding
  • Network Fundamentals, TCP/IP, SNMP
  • Storage Device Understanding
  • Hardware Platforms (i.e. Dell, HP, IBM etc.)
  • Unix / Linux / ESXi knowledge. Comfortable with SSH commands
