Software Developer
We're looking for a software developer to join our team.
We are looking for an entry level software developer who has a good understanding of systems, a passion to learn new technologies and figure out existing applications. Basic experience in building systems is a must. You will need to be proficient in the language of your choice and be able to learn new languages with ease. We need someone who can work to deadlines, works well under pressure and is confident in dealing with customers.

We are a small team of developers that do application and web development. We focus on certain languages and tools but we are not afraid to use different approaches if these will give better results.
Your role

We would like to provide the environment that will help you grow from being slightly exposed to development to a competent full stack developer.
Initially you would be active in web site and application development with opportunities to get involved with server side development. This would include you getting plenty of exposure to the following: Python; Javascript; PHP; .Net; API design, development and implementation; Database design; Source Control and, Test Driven Development.
Over time there will be opportunities to specialise in your preferred skillset or be involved with everything.

- Pick up projects and take responsibility for them
- Learning to code in unfamiliar frameworks and technologies
- Handle system change requests
- Gain a solid understanding of the products you will be responsible for
- Use Test Driven Development methodology
- Use source control (Git) and do code reviews
- Overtime might be needed and will be compensated for

Qualifications and experience
Essential
- Matric
- Higher Grade Maths
- Experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL
- Experience in at least one of the following: PHP, C#, JavaScript (Node.js), Python
Preferred
- Basic knowledge of CMS systems
- Solid understanding of your chosen language with exposure to an additional language
- Relevant diploma or tertiary qualification
