I was recommended these guys but never used them as I needed all my roofing done and not just waterproofing. Apparently they’re good though

Dont use a guy called Tapiwa....dont return for leaks after it rained. Goes under the name of GT maintenance.

The thing with waterproofing roofs is that it's a tricky business and very difficult to get 100% right first time. In Cape Town especially with it's winter rain and wind, people usually wait until spring after the winter rain has stopped before fixing leaks discovered during the winter. Problem then is you don't really know if the waterproofing has worked until it rains again in a few weeks time, by which time the rain is coming from a completely different direction from the winter rain which means the same spots don't leak again. Now you don't know for sure if the leaks were really fixed properly or if it's just because the rain came from a different direction. Long story short, get references and double-check those references on how the company handles comebacks. Because you can almost be 100% certain that they will need to come back a second or even a third time to get it done properly.
