CPU Cooler for the Cosmos S HEEELLLPPPP

max size is 14.5 as apposed to 16.5 the trues height to answer the Cavalier question. Will check the n520
 
Just remember, with regards to the H50, you might have to reverse the flow of some of your fans to make it work as designed, otherwise there's going to be some nasty heat build up going on.

Find any review online. Read the installation instructions. It's all in there.

The fan on the H50 radiator is set to suck cool air into the enclosure, across the radiator and not hot internal air across the radiator.
This radiator is pretty much built to sit close to the CPU (short tubing) so your options for mounting are usually on the rear 12cm exhaust fan opening. In this case, it becomes a intake opening.
Use it as an exhaust and you'll be blowing hot air from inside the case through the radiator reducing its cooling ability.
Most fans in the front of the case are for intake with the rear 12cm being for exhaust along with the PSU fans (if it has a fan).
So if you look at it, with almost all fans pushing air into the case there's hardly any pulling air out. So heat builds up.

The recommendation is to flip some other fan in the case around to vent out this hot air.

I think it might be the bit-tech review that showed this issue with, I think, the Cosmos case.

Thought I'd just mention it just in case someone tries it in a smaller case. I've bought myself a Cooler Master Stacker 830 SE and will ofcourse be going against the grain of the recommendation because the stacker has 4 big fans on the side which can provide enough cool air to push right at the radiator. :D If I didn't have those I'd have to think of swapping a fan from intake to exhaust function.
 
Right guys just looking for a shootout but i think the winning candidate will be the Thermalright ifx-14, any 2nd opinions will be appreciated.
 
How about the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus ?

It's dirt cheap, excellent quality, an if you add a second fan and it runs with the big boys.. Not far off with single..
 
Thx again for the input guys found that the ultra 120 extreme will fit if you remove the 200mm fan or grind it down a little. Will be doing some grinding then:D

+1..keeps my i7 nice & cool..even @ 4.5GHz

if you mount the true on its side then it will fit in a cosmos S, if you do this i will suggest you get 2*high rpm fans (2000rpm+) to run in push->pull!
