Any AMD users have problems with their cpu cooler orientation?,... the preferred orientation is having the cpu cooler push hot air out the back of the case ( fan facing front) but coolers on amd cant be placed in that direction beacue of the amd bracket or design of coolers , only facing up or down towards psu or gfx....:(

I don't have that problem on mine - the hot air blows out from the left and right of the heatsink under the fan... on my quad core and opteron CPU's

Are you talking about the older models?

didnt have any problems with my CM Hyper TX2.. had it blowing out towards the rear exhaust

lol "Ok, its official: we don’t like the installation of this cooler and it is easily one of the most ill conceived, poorly executed, unintuitive, under-thought, “snatching defeat from the jaws of victory” setups we have ever seen. "
Hmm k all my experience with zalman has been good :) But why not try the H50, sealed liquid cooling, looks neat and all you need is a 120mm back fan

I just got mine a few days ago. Amazing cooling ability.. havn't seen my chip exceed 39C with prime 95 running overnight. Also got 2 fans, 1 on either side, one pushing air onto the radiator and another pulling air through, sounds like a waste but gave me about a 3C improvement.

Are you pushing air out or into your case? cause i see corsair say rather have it suck in, but then you need a top exhaust fan or you'll have heat build up in the case.

Got it pushing out, also two top exhaust fans. All the in flow is coming from the bottom front and the side.. one of the sides which push right onto the radiator fan.

Problem i have if it pushes in is when my card comes back from repairs i'll have some serious hot air pushing out the back and being under my desk with no back opening, it will just suck that hot air right in.

How much above ambient temp was that?

Shouldnt it cool it down more than that? I'm cooling my 955 to about 20 degrees max above ambient with an air cooler and one fan. Or is your CPU overclocked?

Thats at load for a good few hours... idle it's about 1 or 2 above room... I think it's more the positioning of the box aswell. Sits under my desk, which is very enclosed so hardly gets fresh air unless i put a fan down there

My temp is also at full load, was just curious how mine could be so close to an entry level water cooler. Think the lack of airflow is killing you
