So i was happily playing on my Pc the other day when all of a sudden it got every slow and eventually just died.
Its not brand new but its still under a year, Quad core (intel q95mb) with a ATI 3870, 2gig RAM.
So I opened her up and tried to boot her... I saw the problem, the CPU fan was not spinning.
So I switched it off immediately.
Instead of just accepting that the fan was stuffed I played around with it and eventually got it to spin (very slowly) It booted up in to windows and then crashed again.
So I ordered another fan that should be coming tomorrow but when I tried to boot it up today (I desperately needed something off that machine) it goes as far as the BIOS screen and hangs. The fan is still spinning but not fast enough, I took out the BIOS battery to see if that helped but it did not change anything.... Have I broken it ?
oh and what do I do now ? The components are all from different suppliers so will they give me issues when I try to get them to fix it ??
