Hi,

I'm pretty new to all the technicalities of processors, motherboards, sockets, cache, models etc, and when I bought my PC I simply asked for a 'Pentium 4 3.0ghz with HT' (as HT was the rage a year bcak). I know it was probably the cheapest process/motherboard - but how can get model numbers and info to google - without physically opening ? Is there a application ?

Thanks

Download cpu-z. Run it, and it will tell all there is to know about cpu, motherboard, memory, etc.

Yea I thought so ... everyone was like 'I have a Pentium 4 ... WITH Hyper Threading' ... kinda reminded me of the days when it was 'I have a Pentium 133 ... WITH MMX'

Anyway, specs are Intel Pentium 4 630 ... Prescott ... Socket 775 LGA ... 90nm ... 1.25v ... 3.0ghz ... doesn't seem TOO bad I guess

Never knew the 133 had MMX. Thought it was only on 166+
