Hi

Im not sure what temp reading to believe.... bios state 40 in game..speedfan state 61 in game....hwmonpro state ...61 also....

and as ive said i before ..its 6300 with neptune 280L on it....

maby sensors broken? new mb im thinking at....

thx

Speedfan and HWMonPro would be reading from the same sensors using the same algorithms. You can use CPU-Z for another point of reference. If you suspect that your sensors are stuck, re-flashing the BIOS can sometimes fix that.

ok will try flash...just weird my pc idle on 48 degrees...its 30 degrees here tho...

Either way, that doesn't look like good temps from a Nepton 280L. I have a CM 212x and mine idle on 28; and in games I get 40 at the highest. I have fx 8320 cpu if that helps.

well im in upington..its stil 28 deg here NOW....was 37 today..can that be a HUGE role?

i had a 212 also..replaced it with neptune due im in upington..so thought i will need the better cooling here.

bios..in click bios 2 of msi.

So you exit a game and restart to go into the bios to check the temp? In that few seconds the cpu can cool down a lot.
Did you use thermal grease and how much?
Also, outside temp can play a big role, Upington is very hot, so I'd wager it will play a big role

EDIT: Maybe invest in a Aircon??

no.. i access my bios in windows....UEFI bios...

thinking of aircon ya...
