Hi guys, I have no idea what a good CPU teemp should be, my BIOS is reporting CPU temp of 40-45C and a system temp of 38C

Yep seems pretty good, anything in the 30's or 40's is good. If you approach the high 60's or 70's then you're asking for trouble. Check your graphics card and HDD temperature as well.
Is 65 C too much for a E8200, after hours of heavy load?

Core temp and real temp are two great apps for monitoring your windows temperatures of the CPU.

interesting, on the Q8400 I get 37 - 45C and on the
Q9400 I get 39 - 64 (while playing games) on the CPU and 46C - 57C on the GPU GT9800
seems like the Q9400 is a bit high?
