CPU Urgently required

Firstly, sorry for the "advertising" but I desperately need an old secondhand CPU

details:
Socket 462
Athlon/Sempron/Athlon XP (no Duron!!)
min speed about 1800+

basically, leftover cpu from an upgrade or something.. its for my old router box - the cpu fried recently and I dont really need a brand new one. Something that *works* that is just lying around is perfect.

Ideally, I'd like to collect in Centurion or Pretoria area.

please pm me if you can help out or know someone that has a spare cpu lying around..

You're close enough to Corex (in Kyalami business park) in Midrand for it to be worth your while checking them out; they've got a display case round the side of the support/customer service desk where they've got all manner of old/retired formerly new stock.

I was there last week checking 'em out looking for just such a beast, I can't recall the details of exactly what they DO have there, but they have got AMD CPUs as silly (low) prices.

Dead simple: you go into Kyalami office park, uphill from the entrance to the actual racetrack and just keeeeep on truckin' brutha! ..seriously though, they're right at the end of the main entrance road, at the end of many, MANY speedbumps and a few traffic circles. Just at the very end one (as in there's NO MORE road to go), you go ~2/3 round (1 o'clock from your entry position) and they're right in front of you.

..which is entirely correct, and may arguably be a more correct/relevant answer to the question *as asked* ..but doesn't help a whole hellova lot with actually getting to them! I know (from your published details) that you're in CPT and may/not know the area, but that biz park is more than large enough with WAY too many turn-offs dotted all over the damn place to manage to entirely miss the place you're looking for!

Anyhow, enough being a smart-arse and doing something useful!
