So I spotted some termites in the middle room of the house, so it's obvious there's a crack in my foundation.

I pulled out my skirtings and found a hole.

What chemical can I use to pour into the hole which fills up the crack and hardens?

TIA!

The termites need to be treated first. Not sure of your area. Our complex uses Flick or rentokil if Flick can't make it.

Its a big complex and the outside areas are treated 2-3times a year for ants, termites, roaches etc. We don't want them starting so its done as a precaution.
Complex pays.
They also check all the spaces rodents would like to reside in as we really don't want to share space with them - fortunately none of those yet.

But if units want anything done inside that unit owner must pay for whatever they want/need done.

Hi V,

I have a 10k m2 plot and my complex is 150k m2 . There's termites everywhere.

I treated my boundary already and obviously theres nests under my foundation and the termites are coming in through the cracks.

So what I can do myself is use these strong termite chemicals companies like Flick use, and then after a day or so close the crack.

AFAIK termites cant and dont eat through foundation so as long as the crack is closed off, they cant get entry into the house.

As stated. First sort out the termite problem. This is done by drilling holes around the house and using a really potent poison. I would recommend getting a pro. Also remember that this is coming from outside into your house, so the Body Corporate should pay for it.

Get a pro first time round... they drill every meter around foundation and fill it, it'll have a 5 or 10 year guarantee or something... then, when they're back in a decade or whatever, just buy the potent termite crap, redrill same holes yourself and fill, just did mine again a few weeks back, 5 liters in every hole, cost just over R1k to diy, vs R7k or so several years back for pro to do it(but glad I got pro, cos could see what and how its done - and they have big drills and bits;)).

As for the gunk itself, takes a couple of months to be fully effective, it needs to infect a few, and slowly gets past on from mite to mite over time until it reaches the main nests, queens, backups etc and eventually wipes out the colony/multiple interlinked colonies of millions of the ****ers.

Guys , I already had a pro come out about 2 months back drilling around my house.

That's why I'm just looking to fill up the crack.

Now this isn't a wall crack, its foundation so I'm sure the chemical needs a little pressure to seal as far down as possible. But I'm seeking advice on what to use . Guess no one here really knows ...
