Has anyone experienced getting crackd discs after playing a game on their 360 ! i currently have two games which i have noticed have cracked ! I dont know if its the 360 doing the cracking or those crappy 1st gen jewel cases ! All my discs are now kept in a spindle as a precaution ! im getting sick of replacing my crackd discs everytime :mad:

tough one - my old xbox used to scratch disks but not crack disks - i suspect the lense was set too close to the surface. my newer, shinier working xbox does no such thing.

i doubt its your xbox - but do a cautionary search on google

All of mine came in the same boxes often used for DVDs. I have DVDs that are 9 years old and have been in and out of those boxes many times. Not one cracked disc.

Scratches I've heard of, but not cracks. I suspect you're right about those dumbass jewel cases.

i also suspect those cases since i've only had 2 crackd discs since i've bought my machine almst 2 years ago ! Atleast it wasnt forza or gears that cracked ! guess im gona hav to get a classic copy of pgr 3 nw

We all know that but the centre part that holds the discs on the xbox jewel cases are different than those on normal dvd cases !

I've experienced the same thing. It's the crappy cases the games come in. Keep it in a different CD holder or something. My 'DiRT' cd cracked and I begged the supplier to replace my disc, I was lucky enough to get a replacement, but I don't think they will replace it again.

No, they're not. A big chunk of my DVD collection has those same cases. No cracked discs after 9 years of taking them out and putting them back many times. Xbox 1 games used the same boxes as well. Haven't cracked any of those either.

Those are exactly the ones. No cracked discs.

Please post a pic of your normal dvd cases with the centre part thats the same as the 1st gen xbox cases !

Last time i Checked almost all my normal dvd cases have a centre ring that looks this

What about your abnormal DVD cases?

It remains a mystery how some people manage to break their discs. It must be the clip's fault. Naturally.
