Major change for driver's licence tests in South Africa

The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) is digitising driving licence tests to prevent fraudulent examinations.

This is according to transport minister Barbara Creecy, who was responding to MP Patrick Sindane's parliamentary questions about how the Department of Transport (DoT) plans to combat fraudulent driving licence cards.

Haven't even fixed the current problems before rolling out new ones. Unless they use actual simulators this doesn't solve anything that's currently an issue.

Just get rid of the $h1tty cards and the problem no longer exists, but, no, that doesn't allow the mofos to control us and suck us dry. Simply install biometric devices and an internet connection in all traffic cars. The info could be kept (temporarily) on-device for areas with bad reception.

Great to know we are gonna digitise how I need to break my neck 5 times just to pull away from a Stop street with my handbrake.

I still dont know how to deal with a dead robot or proper highway lane use or any other practical real world scenarios...

Been digitalized for a while, well over a year at least. This article is of course really about governments inability to get anything legal done properly,... they are of course masters of criminality as 30 years of looting proves, but thing like rolling out a new system is of course way beyond their tiny little brains.
