Crackdown X360

no it's an absolutely fantastic game... one of the best ones that I played on the 360..

It's just a bit old now (7 months)

Didnt particularly enjoy it myself.

@Bwana, but you can't say it is a bad game, just not your type of game. The actual game is well developed and graphically impressive in it's own strange way

i loved it. it's like GTA for someone who wants to kick back and be very manly.
highly addictive. if you prefer more depth, it might not be your cup of tea.
i give it 8/10

so it's just a bit old? I've been trying to get rid of it for 2 weeks now, brand new for R250 and nobody wants it. I was just wondering why.

I opened it and played it once, didn't grab me so...

True. All any of us can do is express our personal opinion. I didnt find the game-play particularly compelling and apparently neither did Bcm.

R250 is a bit steep since as far as I know it is becoming a classic in November so it will be R249 brand new.

Also most people have played it already. Trade it at BT Games maybe?

I got it with a console bundle and the price quoted on the game was R749, so I assumed there was something amazing hidden within...

Was Incredible Corruption though.

I'll Try BT, thanks.

Hi, I suggest you give the game a few hours of game play. When I first started I thought man this is rubbish, but after a few hours of game play, when you get to understand more the feel of the game and how the character behaves, it is simply brilliant. Once you get full power up, and can climb and jump the tallest buildings, the sensation of flying is awesome, and then the AI in fighting the gang bosses - not bad, then not to mention as you increase in power, the level of cars increases - overall this is one of the better games I have come across - but again, as I said, it took me a while to get into.

You just made me choke... R749 for a Xbox 360 game, whoever wrote that was smoking something really strong...

Agreed, i got crackdown bundled with my xbox and it didnt get any love for months until i actually spent an hour or 2 in it, after that it became GTA'esque where i'd roam around blindly using the skills developed like the super duper jumps.

I loved Crackdown. Once you starting levelling it becomes totally addictive.

A bit more story, a bit more depth in Multiplayer (team CTF would be awesome!) and I reckon the franchise could be as big as Gears.

The reason you won't get more than R250 for it is that is that it's been reported to be released as a "classic" shortly.

Yeah, Crackdown is suprisingly good. Wasn't convinced at first, but after a while as your jumping etc develops, it got seriously fun.

Jumping off the agency tower aiming for the pool gave me actual vertigo.

My favourite move, is when you're full agility and strength, you do that drop punch thing off a high building into the middle of a pile of gang cars, it just feels so awesome.

Never mind the civilian casualties ;)

Iv had this game for months and I still do a bit of orb hunting every now and then, scaled the Agency tower for the first time last night. I have to say that the game didn interest me as well when I started playing but as you gain levels it becomes more and more fun

a fully upgraded grenade is the ultimate, except for the innocent casualties.
