can anyone give me a gamers hands on about the game that is crackdown

ive read mixed reviews

it looks cool but you can never be too sure

I just never got into it but I know there are loads of huge fans of the game around who will definitely say go for it. :D

its a lot of fun. It's like GTA but you're the cop. You're also not limited to being good all the time, but the police WILL hunt you down if you kill innocent civilians. I like the power ups you receive (you're a bionic dude etc)

It's a bit disorientating starting to play at first because I feel the waypoints aren't as clear and marked sometimes, however, I've only played a couple of hours (possibly around 5 hours) and don't know the ins and outs too well yet.

get the game, definitely worth it.

I loved this game.... like AcidRaZor said it's similar to GTA except you are a super cop and gotta clean up the city...

It's loads of fun jumping all over the city collecting orbs and climbing sky scrapers..

I hated the driving though... Well worth picking up a copy

awesome!!!

was just a bit put off by reviews saying it was easy and you dont get much out of the game.

definatly gona get a copy then

I got it recently and really enjoy it. Half the fun is just going off on a tangent to see what you can find.

Haven't even look into doing any of the races or anything, foot or driver. I highly recommend it.

Maybe I should give it another chance but the missus keeps buying me more games - I still havent got around to Quake 4 yet :o

My problem is that whenever I logon I end up getting Gears invites so I can't get to the rest of my games.

I need one more achievement in Fight Night and then I need to still play Quake 4, GRAW and COD3...

Not to mention I am getting Moto GP this week and I haven't finished Table Tennis yet....

Such a hard life ;)

Except I start studying again today which means no more play time for months...

Crackdown is a game that takes a bit of work to become really amazing. Only once you start developing your powers does the game really take off.

There may not be as many minigames as say, GTA, but there is nothing quite like leaping across rooftops and throwing cars at people.

If you like the idea of being a superhero with guns (which you don't have to use if you prefer not too) then Crackdown is for you. It's got online co-op too (which I have yet to try - I'm getting on Live this month I hope).

The tranforming car is also sweet, but the driving is pretty tricky until you start to level up (by doing jumps and running over gang members).

Overall it's a pretty well made game, but I would recommend trying to give it a test first (with an advanced character if possible so you can test out all the powers).

I really enjoyed COD3 but I keep getting side-tracked by RB6 and a screaming baby. :D

Yeah, those screaming baby's are hectic and they don't even add to your gamerscore ;)
Tell me about it. It's my own fault really - I should have waited for the PS3.

At least then I'd have plenty of time between awesome games being released. :(

Live and learn.

Im almost done with the gangs and have never seen the point of driving when you can run and jump your way around, so much fun. I dont think Iv spent more than 5min in total driving in the game.
