Cracked Screen

So I just dropped my SE k810i and the screen is now cracked :/

It's a contract phone with Vodacom so I presume it's under warranty or something. So can I just take the phone into a Vodashop and ask them to fix it?

I assume they'll have to send it to Jo Burg. Will they cahrge me for anyhting?

Ditto what I said above. We're not your cellphone company so we're unaware of any warranty outstanding on your phone and/or if we'll charge you to fix it or not or if its covered by the warranty.

When was it that you got the phone on your contract?

My sister dropped her C905 and broke the screen, we were told they only have the phone under warranty for 5 days or something ridiculous. :erm:
She ended up paying to fix it.

Well I get my upgrade in November, so it's nearly two years old now :/ Any idea on a price to fix the screen?

Depends, fixed my old samsung for like R500 i think

a warranty is if the thing packs up by itself - they won't cover you with no charge if you drop it in the toilet or chuck it around/drop it on the pavement

I cracked my cellphone screen few months ago, and they wanted to charge over R1000 to repair it.

Went online on eBay and found a brand new LCD for my cellphone for R80, and they gave me the tools to repair it as well. When it arrives, I'll just repair it myself.

I found a place that sells LCD screens but they only have the k800 screen. That is the exact same as the k810 though right? I checked gsm arena and the k800 and k810 screens both have the same pixel and L/B measurements so it should fit then?

The shop has it for R205 which I reckon is good. Just gotta find someone to install it then :/
