Hi guys.

I'm looking for a cream whipper. It's like a flask with a gas cartridge to create whip cream from liquid cream.
See pic below

Seen on eBay and Amazon but looking for a local supplier preferably Durban esp for the cartridges.

It's called a whipping siphon. What do you want to use it on?

You can probably get one from Yuppiechef.

What's the gas cartridge for?

We use to have a shaker thing that's much like a cocktail shaker and that made thick cream from liquid cream without much drama.

That gas puts pressure into the liquid as it comes out....

used to make foams and shyte.... its a "posh" cooking utensil :p

I think if you just buy canisters its a lot cheaper.

I wanted one of these but fek its a lot for something that is not often used.

Wanted to make the whipped cream with non-UHT cream and without sugar and additives unlike the canned stuff.

Aaah okay so this is the one where you don't shake it and it makes the cream in real time.

Ja I've seen them before, used in bars etc.

I have one ( ISI )that I bought from BCE. They dont supply to public but I bought from their distributor. What area you in?

Around R1200, depending

Check catering supply companies in your area. Called a cream gun in the industry

I didn't know there were non gas ones ?

I saw this on masterchef.... I'd get one to make the fancy foams and stuff.
They also made cupcakes with this, they use the gun to make the cake mixture very fluffy and then microwave.
