Create AVI from multiple VOB's

I'm using the H.264 codec, and using the MKV container. I must say it takes a lot of time, better off looking for an AVI or MKV version of the VOBs in question.

Yes...it does take a long time....but boy the quality is grrreeeaaattt!!!!

Im busy converting all my DVD's to mp4 files with H.264. Taking a very long time...but I wanna store all the discs away an tidy up.

Don't forget to use theRenamer . I'll also be using Handbrake for my future rips, but if only it supported GPU acceleration.

What codec did you use marine? divx , xvid or H.264????

H264, came out at about 1.5 gigs quality is amazing

1.5gig? That is pretty large. A standard 1 hour 30 minute...or even 2 hour long movie I do in H.264 @ 700meg fixed file size, I take my sound down to stereo though...and the quality is still fantastic.
