Please can someone tell me how to create an MX record in cPanel.

cPanel on Hetzner?

Search for Google Apps on Hetzner's help pages and it will give you the details to create MX records.

cPanel using cybersmart hosting.

Under mail, there is no option to add a MX record as shown on the google apps link.

Should definitely be an "MX Entry" icon under the Mail section.
If not, Cybersmart have denied you access to this feature.

Is all depends for your hosting.

I've seen hostings that allows only one MX. Other ones allow as many as you want. Few do not allow. Check under "DNS" or maybe some "Advanced Settings".

If your host does DNS hosting you will be able to edit your DNS from their client area under DNS Manager.
Some hosts even have a quick link under DNS Management to let you instantly set up Google Apps to let mail deliver to Gmail.
(we are one of them)

Some users are more technical than others so depending on your technical skill level you might be able to help yourself without any problem.

If you haven't worked with DNS before I recommend you log a ticket with the support team to do the edit for you as we have seen customers break their sites editing DNS entries / removing entries they didnt think had any use.
