I want to create my own Installation DVD like XP Black Edition.
There are tons of articles in that general direction, but I haven't found one for this specific case.

Due to frequent hardware upgrades/changes, I don't what to Image(Ghost) my HDD.

So, this is what I want...
A DVD that Installs my XP with all my drivers, service packs, programming tools and software, Windows Settings, Skins.. and so forth.

Any clue how to do this?

EDIT:
I've found this so far..

Well, in a way...yes. A clean format and installation helps for almost everything. :)

All it is, is instead of spending hours to format and re-install everything on your PC, you pop in the DVD, format your pc, it starts installing windows... and when you get back everything is working. The drivers, your basic programs and your personal settings are installed.

i think thats an excellent idea i hope someone can give you more info on this, thanks buddy.

you need WAIK as well as a bunch of other programs to do what you want to do.

search Waik in google and read up about it as bit more.

When I have my Windows Installation Disk.. I'll work on a Linux one. (I killed my Ubuntu again.. )

I should probably mention that I have XP... I'll dig around a bit on Microsoft's webpage for a XP version.

Nlite is very good option, use it alot myself.

also u can use Ghost Solution Suite (pricey though) to create Preinstalled DvD, However u do need some minor scripting knowledge

cheers

I made my own DVD years ago with a number of different versions of Windows, Linux and utilities and that is very time consuming. Though if you just want to add drivers/applications etc to the default windows installation that's easy, if I remember right nLite can help you there.

If you often reinstall windows though Acronis/Ghost is definitely the way to go.
