im quite new to wLAN setup and stuff so please bear with me...

im trying to bridge two wired networks in seperate rooms that are about 200m appart.... the thing is, there is no line of sight....

What kind of antennae are you using? 200m will be too far for standard antennae, esp. if you don't have RF LOS.

I'm guessing this is going to be a bridge between two seperate houses?

With no line of sight you will struggle... if there aren't too many obstacles, you could get away with a powerful patch (directional).

yip... a bridge between 2 seperate houses. i currently have a telkom 5102g wireless router and a wireless access point could you suggest any other equiptment i could use, shoud i get a 18dBi antenna ?????

You'd need two strong antenna's on both sides, with two wireless bridges. 200m isn't far though, so you could very well get away with smaller antenna's, probably 5DBi, or so

Have you got up on the roof to see if you have Line of Sight. In the long run this may be a better solution and your antenna's will need to be far less powerful.

Yeah - just get a weatherproof box and run power to the box - mount the box outside (even up a pole) right next to the antennae so you don't need long lead - wires destroy signal.
