Creating an online, editable database/spreadsheet

Im never good with headlines but basically this is what I wanna do.

My business pretty much keeps me on the road a lot, so office time is very limited. What I wanna try do is to be able to access my important documents ( mostly in excel on server pc ) via my tablet ( via internet ) and be able to edit any fields I wish. Is this possible or would I be looking at quite a complex database. Btw me and SQL don't know each other very well :/

I have thought of FTP to download document, edit and then upload back but would like to have a solution that would be straight forward open-edit-close.

Get a Gmail account and use Google Docs

Oh definitely. I don't use it extensively but if it works for you upload your Excel spreadsheets and go wild!

Alternatively, use dropbox to sync your docs across your devices.

You can use office live. You can store your documents (word, excell, power poin and onenote) and access them through any web browser and sync them to your office pc. So you can access them from anywhere.

Ive kinda stopped using office suites. Mostly use Google Docs now.
