The ZUne sucks terribly. Read that link above.

The Creative Zen Vision is a ZUNE KILLER. Ok that's not saying much, since
the Zune is such a piece of cr@p anything could be a Zune killer but anyhow.

I bought my First Gen Creative Zen Vision (not W, W is the second gen model) in January of this year. I imported it from B&H PhotoVideo NY, but
you can get it now from local sites or from reputable Ebay retailers too.

What's good about it?
227K 640by480 pixel display.
You will not find a higher res display in any portable video player.
The Archos, the Zune, the iPod Video, the JNC etc all have
video displayes of about 320by200. The picture is incredibly sharp.

The display does have a rather narrow angle of view. Which
means that some people may have issues with it, but most
don't. It's not an issue for me at all, although you have to tilt
the player a little bit, still I've been watching videos on the thing
in dentist waiting rooms (and the like) for nearly a year
and the display is great. Its bright too, you can watch
stuff in the daylight if you turn the brightness up.
Secondly the narrower angle may be cool if you want
a bit of privacy with your video, for pr0n for instance :).

Storage - 30GB, newer models meant to have 60GB.

Battery life - about 11 hrs for music for me, it shuts the display down
while listening to music. 3-4 hours for video. An extended battery
gives you about 6 hrs for video, and probably 20 for audio.

CF Card reader - let's you copy pictures and view them.

Radio

Built in speaker

Plays MP3's, Audible files, WAV, WMA.

Plays Video - xvid, divx 4 and 5, mpeg4, mjpeg, mpeg2, mpeg1 and WMV video. Plays back video up to 720by562 and outputs native video
in a cable you can connect to your TV.

Updated software is very intuitive, lets you rip music from CD, add cover art,
convert video files (those which do not meet full CZV specs).

Sound quality - comparable to a 3rd Gen iPod (I own two of em),
it's a bit better but not by much, still it's better.

I posted a small review with pics earlier in the year:

The newest models of CZV are called "CZV W", have a wider screen but
the density of the pixels is less, the screen res is still that of
the Archos Players but better than the Zune. Still the original
CZV is the better product I think, its still in sale.

You can get the CZV at AudioVision. You can also get it online from Take2, Kalahari, DigitalPlanet etc. There are cool deals on Ebay though
with units from Singapore shipping for much less (incl FedEx) that the
locals charge. Still if you want local warranty but locally. My CZV hasn't let
me down since January, even after dropping it onto a tile floor (it was
shut off at that time).
