Hi Guys,

I recently decided to create an e-commerce site using Magento, as I believe that it is the e-commerce platform of the future (opensource and utilizing ZendFramework).

I'm now looking for a good credit card merchant that has a plugin available for Magento.
I've signed up with payfast but unfortunately they don't support Magento yet.

I could properly write my own Magento plugin, as I am a PHP programmer, but anytime I don't have to spend programming in my own time and maintaining the thing with every change would be a bonus ;-)

Any help in the right direction would be appreciated.
Thanx

Have you tried looking at the Magento plugins? Alternatively, I know for a fact that 2Checkout.com is supported. Are you looking to sell locally or internationally?

I'll have a look at 2Checkout.com thanks.
I'm only selling locally so I would like to use a local merchant as far as possible.

We made good experience with MyGate (http://mygate.co.za) - they've got an easy to install Magento plugin (it costs a dollar or two) and the fees are not to bad.
And PayPal comes out-of-the-box with Magento you just punch in your keys and you're ready to go. But they're also rather expensive especially because both PayPal and FNB take their share.
Let us know if you need help with Magento and Payment Gateway Integrations - we've got plenty of experience on the local market -> http://klikklik.co.za

"Building" my first Magento site at the moment. Planning on clicking a few links and entering some info in the PayPal section and everything will magically just work.

This is my plan.

I take it you bank at FNB then?
let my know how it goes!

Having trouble with image uploads on the live server. All google's solutions don't work :(

Edit: This is driving me nuts. Anyone else here have this problem before?

can you give a more detailed explanation.
have you checked the apache / php error logs?

When uploading a product image it gets placed in media/tmp and the thumbnail can be viewed before saving. When saving, the image does not get moved into media/catalog directory and disappears. The "media" folder and its children all have 777 file permissions. Host is Hetzner. Nothing in the error logs. Works on my localhost (Windows).

Bye bye Magento.

Time to look at PrestaShop...

Edit: uh...

- PHP 5.2.6 (authentication is impossible under 64bits servers)

Bye bye PrestaShop. Jaysus!
