Hi all,

Know there have been numerous threads on this but I'm looking for the credit report that has an actual score on it. Transunion gives me a general one but looking for the one with the actual rating.
Your help would be appreciated :)

From what i understand you can order a paid-for report from transunion that does have the actual score.

Can also get an amalgamated report from Kudough that lists Transunion, Experian and XDS (and the scores) at any Shoprite or Checkers Money Market counter for just R69.00.

But as I found out recently with getting a bond, every "enquiry" drops your score

It shouldn't be the case... because you're legally entitled to free credit score reports, and a lot of companies do credit checks on you when you use certain services, ie Incredible Connection does one if you buy online using your credit card.

Yes, many enquiries in a short time could do that (4 in a month for example). But I doubt once every 2 or 3 months will do much, And the free once a year doesn't affect it at all.

I've heard that you get a 'free' enguiry every year on your birthday. I'm not sure if that means the Enquiry is free or if it does not lower your score for that day alone.

We found out my wife has a judgement against her name which we were completely unaware of.

The issue has since been resolved and the lawyers who listed the judgment against her said that it has been removed, yet it still shows on her credit report from Transunion (ITC).

What steps can we take to have it cleared?

Once per year, not necessarily on your birthday. And it's free as in doesn't cost you money.

Log a dispute with Transunion:

http://www.transunion.co.za/za/personal/creditDisputes/logADispute.html

If it doesn't get resolved timeously you can lodge a complaint about it with the National Credit Regulator...
