Soeeek SA leads in Rape/ Murder which is extremely worrying
but if you take the overall crime per capita then surprise surprise, everyones second favourite destination, New Zealand is second and RSA comes in 10th:

Yeah - saw that but it really makes me wonder though. Higher indicators of law enforcement in South Africa? I doubt it. Willingness to report crime? Maybe seeing that we have higher incidents of serious violent crime. I note that South Africa isn't on the list for adults prosecuted per capita or convicted per capita.
