CRM Software

The Visma product line.

It's the Pastel of Europe but much bigger and more complicated.

I have used Microsoft Dynamics and SugarCRM but in the end found Dynamics was easier for our staff to get to grips with so we are using that.

Interesting, we use Pastel Evolution and are only a two user site.

Things have changed and I now spend more time on the road than before so I need to be very organised and focused.

Hence the need for CRM software to keep everything customer related in one place.

You mind elaborating?

We got 2 crm's set up for us before we went with Microsoft Dynamics.
All promises from the programmers/sales reps, cost us a ton to set up, more to "add features" that never worked properly and eventually we almost gave up on the CRM thing entirely.

Not going to mention company names though. One of them have given us credit we will never be able to use as we can't use it for anything but a crm and we already have a working one, the other, well just not doing business there again.

MS Dynamics CRM, about 1200 users so far. It's reasonable out of the box, but very extensible with development, so you can get it to talk to and integrate with all sorts of other systems. Well supported by Microsoft and by third-party vendors.

I've got experience implementing both SalesForce and MS Dynamics, they're both great products but end of the day my preference is MS Dynamics. It's a slightly more flexible products and much easier to integrate to existing applications.

We use Sage Pastel Evolution to manage all aspects of the business so I am leaning towards one of their CRM packages. Most likely start with the basic (essentials) version and see how it goes.

Anybody with any experience using the Sage Pastel CRM modules?

We started using VTiger. Sofar so good so will see how it all goes. Like the fact that I have an API that I can use to integrate my site too.

SugarCRM and ADAXA ERP

AFAIK SugarCRM have stopped supporting the Community Edition but the fork SuiteCRM are carrying the baton forward with an Open Source CRM. I prefer it to what I have seen of vTiger.

Adaxa and other Compiere derivatives are extremely powerful but relatively complex from a technical point of view so I wouldn't tend to recommend these to anyone who has to administer with limited technical skills.

I like Zurmo in that it is based on the Yii Framework, the developers favour a test driven development approach and have the stated aim that they are building something that does a few basic things really well. Because of this it is a bit light on features compared to most other CRM packages.

Odoo ERP is great but I have concerns about how open this project will remain in the future. Dolibarr and X2 CRM are also worth a look.

Oh my, I did not realised this is an old thread.

I am all ERPnext now.

Never mind. It's been a while since I banged my open source drum on these forums so it doesn't hurt. It has made me think about a requirement we have at work that I'd like to use SuiteCRM for.

ERPnext looks as though it shares some of the characteristics that I like about Odoo. Must find time for a serious play with it.
