Crossover for Mac

Anybody used this? I see it is not necessary to load a copy of Windows to run windows apps with crossover.

Am looking to run flatcast on the MAC but it is only supported via Windows.
 
I've used parallels and heard only good things about VMware but this seems to be a bit like Linux's Wine.
 
I haven't tried it on the Mac but I used it at work on Linux for a few months to run Outlook (until I figured out the LDAP attributes of the Exchange contact list, that is...). Wasn't particularly stable, but not much worse than I've come to expect from Outlook running natively on windows :)

I've also ran a few other programs - DVD-Shrink, IE6, DVD-Decrypter, etc. - without any problems whatsoever.
