I think this says it all. Anyone who has a problem with the word monkey being applied in a presumably racist manner is inadvertently admitting it's blacks that behaved like utter baboons. Personally I don't care. Anyone who behaves like an animal deserves to be called animal names. Funny that when they showed the chaos on tv it was all blacks. When they showed the cleanup I only saw whites helping. Says it all.

So have had a look at the site. Good initiative, but there are like 10 students on there. I will reconsider once it is more diverse.

Also, I want this certified in some way with the stamp of approval from all universities who have students enrolled in this program.

A website claiming to help crowd-fund students was launched this week.

Already my eyebrow is halfway raised.

I think it is a great idea, but I have my doubts and concerns and therefore at the moment. NO. Once signed up, I want to be able to see everything about that student. How are they doing academically. Have they some kind of bad behavioural problem at uni, such as the monkeys we see causing damage to property etc. This needs to be verified by the uni admin department. I am not going to take a students word for it. Once I have a student that I feel comfortable with and know this program is a solid and legit program, I will donate.
