My front tooth crown broke last night. I have it plus minis 3 years. My dentist can only see me tomorrow afternoon. Is there anything I can use to keep it on place. It last about 15 minutes before falling out.

Wow, that's horrible. I was unfortunate to broke my tooth when I was 8 or something. Mine is still going for 20+ years.

Leave it out. Go see the dentist.

Perhaps denture adhesive (found at most any pharmacy) can be used to help keep it in place?

I will be discussing the fact I was told it will last at least 10 years.

Depends how much stress you put on the crown, I have a front tooth that is build up (not crowned even), No biting off a strip of biltong, no opening bottle caps (you get the idea :p). Broke tooth at think 13, had to redo it at 22 when I hit the tooth on furniture while helping someone move, 24 years later still fine.

Crowns especially floss like your life depends on it, decay sets in from the bottom and then you are in trouble.

Leave it out in the meantime, if you swallow it ... wellllll..

I was shot in the mouth with a stone from a slingshot and it broke one of my tooth crowns. I was ten or something and they put a crown in, I'm 37 today and it's still goign strong.

I just bought and applied denture adhesive (clicks brand: was the cheapest). Seems to be working. I will update tonight.

So the dentures adhesive worked so so. In a pinch I would use it again, but it is meant for temporary use only. Crown is in place. Same practice, new dentist. The dentist inserted a pin. Total cost including consulting was R1100.
