Crumpets

I am always trying things with recipes and making my own recipes up, so I thought I would share this with you.

in a batch of crumpets add 2 mashed bananas with the mixture. it is so delicious you don't even have to have anything on it i.e. butter and syrup or honey, you just eat the crumpet plain.

Are these actual bona fide English crumpets; i.e. with the little holes running through? Or is it a bastardized American flapjack type thing?

Probably flapjacks, I've never had a real crumpet.

They're not easy to make. I always just used to buy them in packs in the UK. But yea, adding bananas to flapjacks is quite a well known trick.
