People just over gear that place.

It's meant to be a progression instance but the way Blizzard is pushing out Patches and expansions I highly doubt there is any such thing anymore :D
 
come on we downed the twins 2nd try, got then down to 1% the first try and only wiped cos we stuffed up on the racist shields

ToC is HC is suppose to be pre-Naxx. Then ToC 10 should be by my understanding be on the same par as Naxx 10 then you get Ulduar then EoE.

You over gear Naxx10 don't you? So in essence you over gear ToC 10/25 depending on year gear as it's on Par with Naxx 10/25
 
erm 4/5 T8.5 :p but surely new content should bring harder encounter not easyer ones

Not really.

Like I said, they planned it before but because of more and more BIG MMO's they are being caught off guard and had:

1. Rushed out WoTLK - ToC I guess would have been included if they had time to finish it. They tried to make up for it with a little Lore effect they created around the building of the Arena :rolleyes:

2. Same will happen now with them pushing out the new expansion since Aion seems to be pretty damn good and they will try and keep the people from getting sucked into Aion. Thus the reason for Catalysm being anounced so soon.

Just my guess though :p

You need to give new gear to new content or else people will skip it.

Would you have done the same difficulty ToC just to get T7 gear? They up'd the gear so people actually play and farm it.

I would have increased the difficulty also to make it EoE standard but yea, that is just me :p
 
Thats why i cant wait for aion . Wow just doesnt feel like it used to imo.
Progression means 0 now. Here we are as a guild enjoying the challenges of getting new tier gear and farming to get very expensive mats for crafted gear etc and then the next moment you see guys with Ulduar gear that have never ever even been in Ulduar running around because they can farm heroics 24/7 aka kids without a job.
There is no more feeling of accomplishment in the game cause if you just wait 2 months , you can get it for no effort.

I need a change of scenery , and aion is damn sexy scenery :D

The fact that the world`s best raiding guild is moving to Aion is a very bold statement and certainly carries some merit.

LOL mate im not putting wow down , its a great game and will keep die hard fanboys happy for a year or two still to come most probably. I just think that wow is started to show its age now that some decent competion has arrived.

Top end guilds are leaving wow , why ?
Ill tell you why , because their achievements mean nothing after 2 months because the same gear that they worked hard for now "drops" (via badges) from heroics.

Gear is supposed to be a visual representation of what you have overcome and accomplished.
This no longer rings true.
I cant remember when last i actaully stopped to inspect someone .

You get a Tank with 40k HP unbuffed and he has never ever seen the inside of a RAID .... doesnt make much sense does it?
Unless YOU need 40k HP to tank heroics?
If you do need 40k HP to tank heroics , then i guess wow is the game for you and will cater for your lack in skill.

8 people from my guild tried aion, they where gone for 3/4 days and are back now. By top end guilds you mean ensidnia and star? of which neither of them have left wow, sorry but to be top end you need to be in the top 10 in the world. Of which neither of them are or have announced that they are leaving wow. And items that drop of ulduar 25 hard modes is far superior to that of heroic badge loot.

Either way these type of arguments bare no fruit, each to there own, im enjoying the game, and wont be leaving any time soon, and its been over almost 4.5 years now.

I agree and disagree with you to some extend.

Since I leveled a Paladin to 80 after the WoTLK rush, I could not find a group willing to work through heroics and to help me gear. Not even my Own guild :(.

I am nw pretty nicely geared and can go and PUG Raids as MT. This would have been impossible without the Badge gear. I don't fully agree with the idea but it has atleast helped me to get to a level where I can play at least. Which would have been impossible.

WoTLK to me personally brough along a hell of alot more problems for social players and Blizzard is trying to ease it a bit. That in itself is also killing off the game.

I'm having tons of fun and can't put down the system that allows me to be able to raid now :p I for one will check out Aion and we'll see how it goes from there.

But WoW is my little gem :o
 
Remember this game is for everyone, not just the elite. All who pay for the game are entitled to get decent gear and loot. They pay there subs along with everyone else. I agree to some extent it was nice to be the only one running around with decent epics. But like i said hard modes drop better looking loot, which alot of people wont be running around with.

I never said the game is only for the elite.
I also spent the good part of 5 years on this game.
Im saying that your effort/skill should reflect on your character.
That is no longer the case.
I remember looking at a pala in full Judgement and thinking wow that guy has been places... now i see a pala in full high level tier and its like "aw nice he farmed nexus for a week" . /sarcasm
 
last time I checked only head & chest T8.5 could be bought not the full set
 
Which are probably the most distinct visual items on a character...
Also most of the non set items look like tier gear anyways.
