ah okay, I've got DDWRT installed on my TP-Link and converted another lightning damaged TP-link into an extender also using DDWRT, I'm pretty happy with my network and the way it runs, guess you guys have different needs :)

Pretty much, I want toys to play with :)

That and the fact that I want to segment my network properly, as well as join the local WUG and such like things.

mmm I keep thinking about joining the WUG... maybe it's finally time to pull the trigger...

my internet has died.... tried support, but they're dead as well...

They said maintenance and upgrades from yesterday till 10:00 today and support would be down. You can reach them via mail, but response might be slow.

did send an email to support
Hopefully when they launch there will be a landline number. Good old fashioned technology. I don't know if they will be pigeon compatible or smoke signals (1 bit/minute) ;)

We've elected not to utilize smoke signals as a means of communication on the advise of the fire marshal - unfortunately the risk of a gamer seeking to communicate that their connection is broken through burning down their neighbours home.
Our experiments with establishing an IPoAC network are still in the planning phase with work being scoped for an IPv6 network as envisaged by RFC 6214

Among other problems we are finding that the carrier medium drops undefined sploges (we can't really call it packets or datagrams) while carrying packets between destination and there is a major seasonality towards international connectivity - neither of which are addressed in the literature on deploying IPoA networks. Further there are regulatory concerns as the carriage medium is neither a facility nor an electronic signal envisaged under the ECA and the prospects of having ICASA type inspect each carrier is both prohibitively expensive and creepy - - moreover there are fears that the Films and Publication Board will eventually wrangle their way into having jurisdiction and we fear the animal cruelty laws would apply if we were to subject a bird to the FPB, we are not entirely sure how to deal with the prospects of the trauma counselling required for any staff.

The fact that our procurement manager became confused at the request to purchase several doves and ordered body wash isn't going to help the project.

So much confusion!

One advantage, your network will grow at the literal cost of chicken feed. :D

Precisely :D

I'm starting to think that the EuroDK boys gave me the wrong tracking number though... its still not showing on UPS's systems....

Trying to figure out if I can slip in the following

Contraventions of the AUP which result in a network outage will result in you being liable, in addition to any other liability that may arise, to provide each and every customer of Crystal Web who make such demand the following compensation for injury: (i) a beer or softdrink of same customers choice in a quantity not exceeding 500ml; and (2) a pizza of not more than 30cm diameter of same customers choice; provided that such compensation shall not exceed R150 in total cost to you and shall be facilitated by Crystal Web.
