Also on original account, don't like the idea of getting shaped by IS policies etc.

I have never received daily stats on CW account.

I am however receiving daily stats emails for the IS account, which im not using

What are these mystical emails you guys are talking about, and where can I get it?

My NNTP downloads have picked up speed quite dramatically this morning. From about 25% of line speed at 3 to now at full line speed

Twitch streaming was poor last night, had to watch the TI4 Finals on Low quality. annoys me :(

That's probably more to do with Twitch generally having poor service levels (it's not just us South Africans who have issues) and the fact that there was so many people watching.

Could be, but a friend of mine had no issues watching on HD with a 4MB line.

When did you connect? I remember reading somewhere that Twitch does also have some kind of first come first serve basis in terms of bandwidth, so if you connect late chances are you're going to be picking up what little bandwidth is left over.

Usually on time, for start of all the games, would suck if this is how Twitch handles connections

It really is just google twitch problems. I know coz I used to watch them all the time and it was basically different quality every single day.......

I'm switching to CW next month, I currently have a very expensive uncapped 4mb account with another ISP unit the end of the month.

What I want to do is just run a few tests on my side before moving, so that I can do a full before/after comparison. Any suggestions to what I should do. Any software out there that you guys can recommend. I can do a simple speed test, but that is a bit boring...

I'd say wait. All their issues are not yet resolved.

Dunno if you look at last week and compare it to now they might be fine by the end of the month.

(note people who were complaining about is temp accounts probably lost dat 5star rating and are just getting shaped......yes sucks doesnt it thats why I didnt sign up for one and no CW has no say in how those accounts are shaped)

Yes things are improving, but not yet 100%, and I would not judge CW on their current performance, is all I'm saying. They will be a lot better soon.

I know about the issues, even if it is not resolved at the end of the month, the current service would be efficient enough, since I anyway need it mostly for local and not international traffic.

Tbh excluding gaming they pretty much are fine already (I dont have these streaming problems everyone else does and havnt played d3/gw2/ffxiv in a few days so wouldmt know)

Edit:local they are the **** .......(I mean that in the good way)

Yeah, but I think the majority of the problems lie with the us as the users. Far too many people have expectations that are completely out of alignment with the reality of South African broadband.

My 2c? So far, apart from international game pings which vary from playable but not great, to terrible, I am reasonably happy with what I am getting.

I think the problem lies with CW advertising the Internet the way it should be.
You are asking for issues if you can't deliver imo.

But that's a different topic altogether and not an issue.

4Mbps,EC routing through WC, I assume?

Using Pingtest, I'm getting varying results on international.
Local is always Grade A, without issues.

International - Testing to Coventry,Great Britain

Seems international still an issue, routing through WC?

Uhm I don't know if they ever actually said that btw I just have that in my sig because of all these ununcapped accounts going around -.- already being better than half the uncapped home account....counts for something right, and failure to deliver prelaunch isnt exactly saying much.....early access is never problem free, if they had no problems they would have launched already?

You know my feeling on this.
I support CW.
My statement has nothing to do with your sig by the way.

That does not minimize the fact that statements have been made and are currently not entirely being delivered on.
As Paul has stated, feedback be it positive or negative is still feedback.

I may come across as negative but it is only in an effort to assist CW to be a better ISP.

Yeh I think even paul said hes not happy with how its going right now. Giving negative feedback is fine nothing wrong with defending them either :P.....go look back a few(hundred.....wow this is getting long) pages ive given alot of negative feedback too. :(
