See what you lot have done now..

You've gone and made DJ... get all angry and cry, now Paul will have to go and comfort him. Gladys might get upset as well. I'm disappointed in ALL of you.

I find your lack of comic sands disturbing :erm:

For heavens sake, just launch already! You should know by now what the market wants. Put out some pricing, terms and conditions and after that its "take it or leave it" for all these cry babies.

Just a side note to those who want to go the Mikrotik way, but currently don't want to fork out the cash for a RB. They also have RouterOs that run's on most pc's, so if you have a spare pc laying around like most should have then there's a nice option for you. If not then a VM maybe? Nice to play around with. If someone does do this setup please share how you did it. I only know the RB's and have never done the whole setup via pc before.

My only problem with CW at the moment is I cannot get a faster connection than 2MB international with them. Local my speeds are 3.5Mb and everything is fine, howerver international is still fooked!

I don't want to say it, but I told you so.

Unfortunately, being open and candid with everyone leads to a lot of "special treatment" candidates, who think it's their prerogative to question every business decision. While it was nice to get insight and a glimpse in to the future, even help shape it a bit, the openness approach is hard to maintain without breaking whatever confidentiality clauses you have in place or even worse, having something put in to words on a forum for all to see, then having to change what you said due to whatever reason causes it to no longer be viable.

And now, thanks to the diaper wearing members of this forum we are now at this situation:

DJ and Paul - We appreciate your honesty. We would love you to be open about things. But please don't feel the need to keep justifying yourselves to people who haven't yet reached the age where they can comprehend what you are saying to them.

All I see here is 1 person who ate too much at the buffet table, kakked himself and now wants to come eat more.

Where's the best place to get an RB from?
I feel the need to play, and I got paid today :D

For me in EL my optimal usage would be on my 10mb line:

Have newsgroup downloads shaped during office hours.
Streaming protocols unshaped during the evening
Streaming protocols unshaped on weekends (sport streaming)

So far this seems to be working fine, however downloads are very slow and erratic. Tried to download a file last night and the speed never it line speed and hovered between 12kb/s and 200kb/s. I was not streaming at the time.

Other than that my experience with Shaun and the team has been superb.

I'm fine with the P2P/NNTP shaping policies (for now), but then expect other services to work fine if the account is not shaped/throttled. ATM Pandora is unable to play without buffering every 10 seconds, gaming this morning was totally unplayable...

Don't think I can justify those. A 750 should do me fine.
Do they have the ability to do time-of-day based QoS?

Only reason I'm getting one of those is so that it can slot into my Rack at home and look all pretty, and I'm prepared to pay a premium for that....

I'll be honest, I find the 10 ports extremely sexy... having second thoughts now!

See... just do it, you will not regret it..

Granted, I'm not entirely sure what I would use the SFP socket for.. but hey :D

Huh? We're losing money on every single customer at the moment. Every single ONE!

And we're okay with that for now. As we see it, this is a necessary investment. With respect to our internal costs, we have never disclosed that to you, nor anyone else for that matter bar a few partners and trusted individuals.

 I wantz to be one of them nao!!!

On a serious note, apologies if this has been mentioned already, but is there a 'recommended' tool I can use to see what port(s) my traffic uses?
