Hi Everyone
I wish to alert all present and past consumers about the dangers of signing with the company formerly known as Crystalweb. Since they were bought out by Evonet it has been an unmitigated disaster for the consumer. They failed to keep us informed of the pitfalls we as consumers would face during the transition. For the entire Month of November I was left virtually internetless. Firstly I had a line fault which Telkom refused to address because of my isp namely Evonet not being in their system.
Secondly. . Telkom then processed to cancel my ADSL service due to the migration and nowhere in this entire saga where Evonet forthcoming with the facts. I've spent many hours on the phone to Telkom and on chat to the evonet helpline trying to uncover this whole clandestine migration and it's impact on the end user.
I had to apply for a whole new ADSL line today as mine no longer exists.
Now I have to wait until Telkom creates it and then wait for my new ISP to pick me up from the pool. All this at my cost and inconvenience.
In the meantime I've been getting emails about how to make payments to the new entity that is Evonet and never a word about them resolving the termination of services due to their rank incompetence.
I signed originally 5 years ago with Crystalweb even at a premium when compared to other ISP's because I was willing to pay a little extra for good service. However seeing as to how they have chose to handle their migration to Evilnet leaves much to be desired and a really bad taste in my mouth. I previously sang their praises and recommended them without reservation.
Now however I'd like to warn everyone to not touch them with a barge pole.
