Hey everyone

This evening I noticed my international traffic on Crystalweb was almost non-existent. After some testing I noticed I am being routed via private IPs (which explains why none of my services are connectable from the internet). I wonder why on earth they would use 172.16.10.x IPs, sheesh.

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 10.0.5.1
2 * * * Request timed out.
3 19 ms 20 ms 18 ms 172.16.10.1
4 19 ms 18 ms 17 ms 172.16.11.2
5 18 ms 18 ms 21 ms 41.85.22.165

Private IPs on internal transit networks are commonplace and perfectly fine. They don't have to be addressable from the internet as long as their neighbours can reach them.

Well, there is definitely something up with the masquerading on their network since none of RTP connections work. One would think an ISP of their stature won't need to resort to such measures hey?

Pretty effective way to protect your core from a ddos... Which is currently what is happening

Hang on, all that DDoS crap is still going on? Does it have anything to do with why they went to hell as an ISP?

One second I'm singing their praises from the hilltops, the next I'm with Cool Ideas. Man, my connection became so bad on CW.

Yup started again last night :(

Ah OK, wasn't aware of that. Thank heavens I have WA account I can use for now.

Who did Cw start beef with that they are are getting Ddos?

Do any of you guys if this is affecting their Openserve FTTH connections too?

Urgh, this whole issue is now starting to even affect browsing.

I had the same issues you're having but now my connection is perfect. Probably because I left CW for Cool Ideas. You could do the same unless someone is forcing you to remain with CW.

Can not get hold of CW at all. After 15 minutes on call waiting was put on voicemailbox - which was FULL!!!!

was just about to go with them, I suspected a DDOS with odd path changing and high pings happening, across ISP's it seems? Anyone know anything else about it?
