CS:S Query

Hi guys

I wonder if any one can help me with this. I loaded up CS:S today, for the first time in ages and I notice there is this rather annoying scrollbar in the middle of my screen.

Any ideas what this is for and how I can get rid of it? I thought it had something to do with that "Friends Network", but I've turned that off.

anyone know how to play if you have a copy source? cant connect to steam with normal version
