CSGO Sticky thread

The only downside as you've noted, is that her progress is on your main account.

Yes - would have been nice to play everything on one account - as I have lots of games. But small sacrifice - still not even sure I will be good at this game. I need to learn not to rush in lol. You die pretty quickly.

We need to create a MyBB team, where the experienced players can protect us noobs :) I mean, that's the point of "Master Guardian" right?

I don't think MG players would choose to play with noobs :crylaugh:

Aah I don't think they'd mind, it adds more challenge to them: it's like a VIP mission in other games, where they've gotta keep us from dying while still racking up their own kills.

Urban Bunny was super helpful to me already, so we just need to twist a few more arms on here. Any takers to create a MyBB trainer team?

lol keep us alive ? In the games I was in it was every man for himself :crylaugh: Strangely I was often last man standing. Not for long though - they hunt you down.

I'm currently MG, however don't consider myself worthy.

I'm weird though, irrespective of the ranks, if there's 1 salty player on my team it affects my performance.
I can't help it, even if I mute them. Guess I have too much feels going on.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've been in games where the entire lobby is MG with one salty player and i bottom frag.
Then I've been in games where everyone is chilled (maybe with one MGE) and I've found myself top fragging.

Then there's the odd time where I'll lobby with nova 3's and 2's, but because the team work is there, we end up wiping out another much higher ranked overall lobby (because MatchMaking is wonderful).

Think I've played with UrbanBunny once or twice and he's showed me a few things as well ^^
I'd be keen to join if a group is made, as you can always learn new things from anyone :)

Thanks for the props guys

We do have an unofficial little group. Neoprod, Fulcrum, Stillie, Staalbal and I play together fairly frequently.

If you read back through this thread, Fulcrum had posted a lot of advice. I'm keen to play with you guys. Fox, get a mic ASAP, makes all the difference.

Let me know when you guys want to play. As soon as Balboa avenges Creed, I'll be ready.

Speaking of mikes - my headset has one but it doesn't work. But plugging in a stand alone doesn't work either as it picks up the one on the headset. Any way to disable it? I don't talk in games but can see that this one you have to.

I am a real noob in CS:GO. Only played once with real people in casual so far.

Just a few questions - how do good players feel about noobs joining them? I would rather not pss people off.
Are there maps I should play on that will help me improve or where noobs usually go?
What are the best weapons to use as a new player?

Well, I just play on whichever server casual gives me, good players who are on casual just need to deal with it, but don't be the only person of your team alive and hiding in some corner, run out and die in a blaze of glory, that's what I do.

I think Office (Hostage) and Inferno (Bomb/Defuse) are god maps for a newbie, and you can try the various weapons on them, most weapons should be usable on them, imo.

I do play Inferno - thanks for the Office. Will give it a try. lol and yes I would never hide - prevents respawn and new game.

And I use to play with from time to time as well at a stage. We almost played together last weekend...

I remember the days You and Neoprod were unranked. :P Stillie, Neoprod and Fulcrum are very good.

Yea we did, then you abandoned us

They are very good, it's great learning from them.

I think you should be able to mute/disable one mic while enabling another in windows sound sources buried in the win control panel somewhere.

It's very simple Tribble: just right-click on your volume icon in your tool tray, select "Recording devices" and then right-click on your headset and "Set as default". To make absolutely sure you can click on your built-in mic and click "disable device".

I have a mic I'm gonna test this game, going in for another bit of practice. Apparently it's mapped to Mouse 3? *shrugs* Let's see.
