CSGO Sticky thread

I'm only playing on my smurf now, and man is it a blast. The R8 needs to be nerved a bit, somehow. I only play with that gun now, since everyone else is too. Honestly, now you NEED to buy armor every single round, even when saving. Otherwise its boom dead...

On a different note. Phoenix case prices are going up again. I haven't seen any phoenix case drops in a while, might be discontinued finally? Hoping so as I'm sitting on 900 of them :D.

They already nerfed it this morning :p I've only played once since the release of it but damn it was fun

Even with armor the R8 Kills you. The gun is too whack and does not belong in CSGO.

I have had shots not single kill with the R8. Similar to when you leg someone with an AWP. So I suppose a shot to the leg doesn't kill but does about 80 odd damage.

Depends where you shoot. No extra added to a game will be perfect. Sure, they have their testers testing the gun but the real test is when the pro's use it. There is just no way I will waste my rank on my main account with this weapon being so OP.

On my smurf last night, I aced with the revolver. Not a big feat really, except that it was 1v5. The other team had a full buy too. I was crawling from laughter.

I think chest + head is one shot. Armor or no armor. body and limb shot is around 85-90 damage and one shot anywhere with no armor.

Damage 115-> 86. Not sure what that means. Is that Total damage? So headshot wont kill any more?

I actually really like the delay. Wind up around corner. If you see someone, shoot. If not, save a bullet.

Here you go:

Analysis: A slight nerf was applied to the R8's first shot accuracy when using left click though it's extremely minor and is very hard to detect. The only real change that I can see is the damage reduction. Against armored opponents the R8 can no longer kill a full health player...the only exception being stomach shots up to 15 units (38cm) which isn't possible due to player collision. Against unarmored opponents, a stomach shot will instant kill up to 584 units. Chest and arm shots won't instant kill full health players regardless of if they are wearing armor or not.

People can choose whatever combo they want. I just say it is bad, because you want a faster fire rate weapon combined with an AWP. Right? Right??? Why have two slow firing weapons? Both powerful yes, but when cornered, you're screwed.

Fair enough, there is that. Anyway, since R8 has been released, I haven't bought any primary weapons. Will see how that changes after this change. But alas...the Girlfriend is coming over this afternoon. So no comps for me till Sunday :(
