Yesterday, Valve, unbanned those permanently banned pro players. Valve backtracked a bit, the only condition is that they are disallowed to play in Valve-sponsored events, but this is also likely to be a temporary condition which I will give about 12 months to stand.

I doubt that some will return to the pro scene, but steel is back and he may take on a coaching role.

On this note, the sponsors involved in that scandel, they are also unbanned and may promote the game on the pro scene again. Yah... Gaben is all.

DaZeD is going to return to the pro scene. He did the commentary on the comps but has left that and is returning to the pro scene

He will return, but where will he play? There only that many big competitions which are independent.

The Potential of CS:GO’s Newly Unbanned Stars

The short explanation of what this means is that the now unbanned players cannot take part in Majors, as those are Valve-sponsored events and Valve has yet to unban them. While there are plenty of events that are not Majors, like IEM, or ESL One, this will likely bar the players from joining any team that wishes to at least try out for a Major.

As of now, Joshua “steel” Nissan does not want to play with Sam “DaZeD” Marine as they just don’t get along well while DaZeD said he would play with any top NA player including CLG’s Ethan “nahtE” Arnold and NRG’s Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte. DaZeD also stated that ex-Epsilon’s Joye “fxy0” Schlosser, who was also banned for match-fixing along with two of his teammates, DMed him on Twitter and he considers him a really good AWPer. In addition, he was also contacted by around five different orgs, one of which was Tempo Storm. When it comes to Braxton “swag” Pierce, he said that he would be fine with joining Keven “AZK” Lariviere and DaZeD on a team.

While Brax proved what he’s capable of at the cs_summit tournament, DaZeD has only played scrims, pugs, FPL and ESEA. Steel is much the same, however he did play at Fragadelphia 10 back in January of this year with Matthew “mCe” Elmore, David “Toy” Han, Leonaro “Laski” Arroyo and Igor “cuse” Nikolic. If they are not up to pro standards the two could always become coaches, much like steel did with CLG. Many are also saying that DaZeD and steel would be better off as in-game leaders as that is the main thing NA CS is lacking.

Steel wrecked the S ladder this year in North America. I agree, steel and DaZeD will be better as in game leaders, and they can knock on may doors as are superb trainers and leaders. Back when CSGO had no superstars in North America, it was these guys keeping them known on the scene.

Valve clarifies ban policy, Steel, Dazed, swag, others are perma-banned

Valve has clarified their position on the bans they gave out in early 2015 to players from iBUYPOWER and NetCodeGuides.com, and informed the community that those players are permanently banned.

When the ban was initially handed down by Valve, the company did not mention how long it would last. Today, Valve has clarified that all players ever banned by Valve from Valve-sponsored events will never be unbanned.

Players from iBUYPOWER and NetCodeGuides.com were accused of match fixing during a game in CEVO Season 5, and members of the two teams were banned as a result. Those players, Duc "cud" Pham, Derek "dboorn" Boorn, Sam "Dazed" Marine, Braxton "swag" Pierce, Keven "AZK" Lariviere, Joshua "Steel" Nissan and NetCodeGuides.com founder Casey Foster will never be allowed to participate in Valve-sponsored events.

"We will continue to take whatever action we think is necessary to protect the entertainment value created by professional Counter-Strike, including, on occasion, terminating our relationship with individuals who have demonstrated a willingness to exploit their fans’ faith in the integrity of the sport," Valve stated in a press release.

While this statement in particular made specific reference to iBUYPOWER and NetCodeGuides.com, the perma-ban policy extends to all CS:GO bans given out by Valve.

Sooo...

Rebeltech replaced my GPU with a brand new. That's right, Factory New GTX 970, not even field tested.

Roomie is collecting for me as we speak.

You know what this means, gents? It means my 50FPS becomes 250FPS and the graphics go back to normal. It means playing on my screen's native res (1080p). It means shootie shootie bang bang happens in glorious HD.

I will about 8:30, just downloading drivers at roughly 100kb/s on LTE :(
 
I am going to tuck my kid in at 8 and then I will be online at around 8:15-30. I am only going to play 1 or 2 games.
