CSGO Sticky thread

And just as a disclaimer I haven't been playing comps for a while now, I mainly surf, but need to get my aim on point again
 
I am a bit over the increase of hackers lately. Either Valve doesn't care any more or Overwatch is insufficient and inefficient at handling reports. More Steam specials are coming up... not to forget of the wet behind the ear kids/adults soon to be on holiday...

Wallz and soft aimbot, some of the profiles are of high status.
 
I agree. And the cheating in DM is what really gets to me. WTF?!?!?!?!?!?! cheat in a death match that counts for nothing. When someone headshots me every time I come around a corner - I know there is something skeef. So why?!
 
just purchased and downloaded csgo. only played condition zero on lan several years back, where Do I start ?

Play some death match or casual to get into the swing of things. I would suggest trying out the different weapons to get a feel for them and also to see which you want in your inventory (R8 or Desert Eagle, Tec-9 or CZ-75, M4A4 or the M4A1S - the silencer version). They each have different attributes so play around until you find which one suits your play style.

There are a ton of YouTube videos relating to the game - I’d suggest TheWarOwl’s videos for you. You can just play until you’re reacquainted, then watch some videos for tips and useful info.

Most of all, be prepared for this type of thing.

I have played condition zero a lot , when I say a lot I mean over 5000 hours on lan. The maps were dust2, inferno, train and aztec. These maps are so Identical to the one I played on condition zero. So whats the next step ?

Play different maps, try different weapons, or jump
Into a competitive match. That’s 5v5, human players, first one to 16 wins; wins. Do it. Add me on steam if you want.
 
FFS after a 3.2gigs update (yeah I haven't been playing online in ages nor updating, 9 month work project and all) None of my maps match server maps, verify cache 231 files failed, another 1.2gig download sigh. :(

I don't know how to add, but I will Google that. What's ur username/id on steam ?
