CSGO Sticky thread

I think I need an upgrade then.

In my opinion, the new entry-level for a quality FPS mouse is the Cougar Revenger S or the Coolermaster Master Mouse MM530, both medium to large in size. All of the large mice is rather expensive unless you can get a Razer DeathAdder Elite on special.

I paid R700 for the Rival 100 so those prices aren’t bad.

Ugh evetech the only guys with stock. Wanted to use discovery miles... Anyway hopefully I will be reformed by the weekend

The MM530 is a great mouse at that price. Like RJN said, it is pretty much an old school MS design which is appreciated by many who grew up in the 90s around PCs. I believe the MM530 is the starting point, you want a mouse, you buy that mouse.

I appreciate what ReDragon is trying to do, but they are trying to sell value at something which is supposed to look great (and ignoring everything else.) I think their cosmetic design is schit though, oh and have I been given the crap about that statement on other gaming-related sites.

I own the Revenger. Yes, it is a really good mouse and mine don’t have the issues that RJM experienced, but he mostly receives pre-release units to test and review. Comparing my Revenger to my G403, all things considered as to how I grip and move my arm they are pretty much equal, but I pair my G403 and G910.

It is great to see a ‘competitive’ mouse at R500.

I collect mice :whistling:

Now that Corsair has made a mouse to rival the upper chain, it is getting really good reviews on many sites. HOWEVER, most top 10 reviewed mice, annually, are questionable IMHO.

The only reason that I trust RJN is due to him being involved and being involved with his community. I would like to see him review the Corsair IronClaw.

Those other reviews on the IronClaw, they actually compare it to the M65 PRO. I own an M65 and it is a really bad design, though I appreciate the responsive buttons it isn’t a mouse that I will use to improve my tracking skill. So, they compare it to a mediocre stablemate. The Ironclaw is heavy, enough said, it is bad without ever using it.

I know people get wet dreams about owning an ASUS ROG Spatha which is an incredibly expensive peripheral which has absolutely no value or pleasure in enhancing your user experience. It is incredibly heavy and extra large in design with the weirdest button positioning. Just bringing it up in comparison to the heavy Ironclaw.

The positive it has, probably, is its multi-purpose design. It is a mouse designed to play FPS games, but the button design caters to MOBA.

Corsair is already punting it to the competitive scene, I don’t want to be the team sponsored by them to promote their gaming peripherals in esports.

I honestly think you pay for what you get with mice. I tend to stay away from anything under R1000 unless it's on special. My G502 has lasted me 6 years and only now starting to fail. And I do tend to click harder when we change up sites in the middle of a comp. Rival 600 looks decent enough and I like the 3 buttons on the side. Same as my old mouse.

I've had my mm530 for just over a year now, awesome mouse and I doubt you'll find anything in that price range that is better. It still looks and feels brand new so it's wearing quite well.

I removed the internal weigh on mine to bring it down to 88g, there's a revised mm531 model minus the weight but it's a few grams heavier than the mm530 with the weight removed. When I got mine it was just under R500 so raru price has not changed much.

Apart from being a solid mouse the settings are very basic and there are only a few buttons that is usable, overall however its very solid and has seen a **** load of desk smashes from me and its still working.

The G403 is number 4 on RJN's top 40, I kind of want it but there's nothing wrong with my G400s.

I was just wondering because it is named after the most basic CSGO player.

So I decided to try out Logitech's G HUB software which is replacing their Logitech Gaming Software. LGS is so much better in my opinion, but G HUB supports more out of the box. Logitech went on to copy Corsair, Steelseries, Cougar and ASUS....
