CSGO Sticky thread

Lately been doing private match making with 10 people in Discord. CS then decides the teams and we go to our separate voice channels. Actual fun again.

Faceit wont let us 5 stack, and games take a while.

If you have ten people wanting to play, that is cool, but if you solo queue or play in smaller stacks its not going to be fun to find nine to play with

I see the number 1 player on the CS2 leaderboard got a VAC ban. Apparently it is legit, and though not announced, but data mined, it is noted that Valve has new code to possibly detect some aimbotting techniques. It is said that there is a current, and ongoing, VAC wave, but I don't see it in the websites reporting VAC and game bans though these sites don't include every player.

Concerning the "world" #1, lol, that account has more hours than some pros. See, even the best cheats.

Farming is becoming an issue. Join a deathmatch lobby, and it is stacked with idle players being run down by a single player or two. The moment you get in, you get voted out. This is an old thing, but damn has it become common.

Now with the case economy crashing I think that will also become less severe.

Played quite a bit over last 7-10 days, and quite a bit of "new" players, loss count how many times I have been head shotted around a corner with a smoke, or players popping around a corner knowing exactly where you are, and the entire team getting head shotted by some of the worse guns in the game.

It was fun however as there was one ******* that kept on smoking bombsites and camp hiding in the smoke, or going to the same positions and corners over the last few days, got use to his patterns, and eventually got a couple of knife kills on him before finally he raged quit.

Couple of matches where my team couldn't use utility or didn't know how to stop a t rush on some maps, negev goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr stopped that quickly on rushing A on nuke and banana on inferno, and then we actually started winning.

Still had a couple of auto sniper noobs one or two racist players and a few toxic players that first got muted and eventually voted off....

It is seems like the hype and such has at least died off at least a bit, and the player base is settling a bit, school and uni starting soon, would be glad to be rid of those noobs for a bit, not that I am a good player by any means, but I know enough to get around and get the win when needed. But yeah CS2 is worse off than CSGO ever was.

In other news, if they still handing them out, I will get my 10 year chip in October, woot , woot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This happens in standard casual as well. Been kicked twice off Inferno for no reason at all.

Why is theh wait times suddenly so long ,first time plying the new CS 2 and I can't for the life of me get into a game after waiting 20 odd minutes ?

I love cs, but I don't really see the point of CS2. Nothing new except a graphics update and although I haven't played against any rage hackers, I have had some dodgy players on my side as well against me, but dodgy players were always part of the CS franchise. So, also not a new thing.

Still love the game, will play it when I'm bored of other games.

Yeah I think I am done with the game for the bit the last few days has been an absolute clusterFK with hackers seems it got a little worse in the last few days.

I have taken my leave, not due to the cheating issue, but because the game is lame. It is not the game, mechanically, but it is in a weird place with its player base. Way too many complainers in Premier and competitive mode, everyone thinks they are now a better player than the other player. I get kicked in casual (and in deathmatch) time and time again. It is toxic to the core. CSGO was not as bad as this, not even close.

Regardless, Valve needs to do something about the cheater problem. Not only are 'some' plagued by it, but it has reared its ugly head on the competitive scene. I am talking about Valve sponsored events, and yet, they don't say a word as always. They opened Pandora’s box with the Challenger League. It is so bad that Akros, which handles the league's anti-cheat at kernel level, purged their socials:

They handled it badly. Some teams who have been caught are in the top 100. Clearly anti-cheat people can't keep up with the problem. How bad is the issue at the top?

It's not only a problem in CS; it seems to be a big issue in R6: Siege as well. I can only assume that games like CoD, Fortnite, PUBG, Apex, The Finals, amongst all others, are schitholes now with cheaters. I have seen some Tarkov clips... yoh, unashamedly cheating.

Cheats have become too good. Smooth aim is more realistic than ever. ESP is simply "legit". It is real bad.

I am sure that there are many players who have good experiences within the rules.

All I know is, Valve better do something with VAC, because all it is now is Valve Approved Cheats.

Just because they are not bhopping, and spinbotting does not mean they are not there. Even Valorant, Faceit etc. with kernel 0 anti cheat.
There are way more cheaters than we think.

This video explains the cheats that are out there very well.

Sparkles latest two videos on cheaters are also shocking to confirm that there is almost no control at the moment.

Sparkles' interview with a cheat developer in CS2. Valve refuses to take action basically.
The developer states there is a cheater in almost every match played.

Cheaters in Major playoffs...
